Lateral Thinking is when one uses both critical as well as creative thinking to solve a particular task. However, the thinking tool we used in the activity was called 6 Thinking Hats, which Edward De Bono theorised.

We were given the green hat to talk about, and we made a poster on that and put it on our miro board. We later saw the other groups presenting and talking about the colour of hat they were assigned.

Then we we had to talk about all the hats in particular situation, we were given online transactions as the topic from the mystery. Then we explained each aspect of that situations based on the colour of the hat.
Reflections
- Lateral thinking is a great way of decision making as there is a hierarchy level of each hat.
- The red hat (emotion) has very little play in the success of decision making as compared to the other hats.
- Sometimes it may seem difficult in the application tool but as we heard in the discussion we are already using this system of thinking and decision making subconsciously in our everyday lives at every step whenever we make any decisions.
Learning mantra
Having control over any plan is the best way to take a affirmed and systematic decision.
